This past weekend did not go the way we planned. But it reminded us, in the most meaningful way, what luv really looks like 💙

Calling off the Luv Is in the Air dance because of extreme weather was heartbreaking. Months of care, excitement, and anticipation were already in motion. The food was ready, decorations were up, outfits were pressed, and the energy was real. By midafternoon, with conditions worsening, we made the only safe choice we could.

What followed was something even more powerful.

Our residents and their families still gathered, leaned into one another, and created joy where it mattered most. Volunteers traveled hours just to be present. There was dancing, bracelet making, laughter, and genuine connection. Disappointment gave way to community.

Plans may change, but luv shows up anyway. That part never moved.
