Our story
Ten years. One question.
2015
A bakery, and a beginning
Michael and his parents, Dr. Lisa Liberatore and Dr. Dimitri Kessaris, launch Luv Michael. Michael and his friends find not just jobs, but belonging.
2020
A home of their own
With the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Church, Luv Michael Homes opens: a first-of-its-kind residential model where Michael and eight friends learn to live independently.
2022
Students join the movement
The volunteer advocacy program takes off. Tens of thousands of students educate over a million people, and team fundraising helps youth programs raise money for their cause and ours.
2024
The first conference
Over 100 attendees gather for our first conference on successful community living for autistic adults.
2025
The movement widens
Surfers Healing, the Luv is in the Air Dance, our second annual conference, and new support for clinical research with MMRI and Stony Brook University School of Medicine.
2026
The journey continues
The question that drives everything remains: how do we build a life for autistic adults that outlasts their parents? Together, we grow closer to the answer.
